Diversity In Fashion
We want to see real women of different sizes, body type, race and cultures and it's about time we celebrate that!
These days, social media and fashion is a big part of all our lives, and the lack of diversity throughout the industry needs to be better.When you go online shopping, it's not fair to only see one body type wearing every style. And every poc not seeing someone that looks like them on magazines or on the runway is not right."beauty" standers MUST change now.
This is an accurate example of what a typical runway would look like during fashion week. Clearly there's something wrong here, this is tokenism, having one or maybe two people of color to represent their brand so that they can seem 'inclusive' is what we need to avoid.
To have fashion be showcased by all races, sizes, cultures, and ages. Everyone should feel as if the clothes they buy are meant for them, and not having to go to a completely different section to find clothes that fit you.
